General Info

Tucked away in the Sunset District, The Crew feels like one of those neighborhood spots you stumble upon and immediately want to keep coming back to. From the moment I stepped inside, the vibe was relaxed and welcoming-nothing flashy, just a cozy Korean restaurant focused on good food and an easygoing dine-in experience.

The menu leans into comforting, classic Korean flavors, and it’s clear right away that this place takes its dishes seriously. I started with the Soft Tofu Soup, which arrived bubbling hot and packed with deep, savory flavor. It’s the kind of dish that warms you up instantly, especially on a foggy San Francisco afternoon. Alongside it came a generous spread of banchan-small side dishes that change the pace of the meal and keep every bite interesting.

If you’re into bold flavors, the Spicy Beef Intestines are worth trying. They’re rich, slightly chewy, and coated in a sauce that hits that perfect balance between heat and umami. On the other hand, the BBQ Short Rib Kalbi offers something more familiar but equally satisfying-tender, smoky, and just sweet enough to keep you reaching for another bite.

One standout for me was the Dolsot Bibimbap. Served in a sizzling stone bowl, the rice crisps up beautifully at the bottom, adding texture to every spoonful. Mixed with vegetables, protein, and that signature sauce, it’s both hearty and balanced-a solid choice whether you’re new to Korean food or already a fan.

Beyond the food, the service setup makes things easy. The restaurant offers dine-in service with a wheelchair accessible entrance, which is always a plus. There’s also a restroom available, and finding free street parking nearby wasn’t too difficult when I visited. I also noticed the inclusion of organic dishes on the menu, which adds an extra layer of appeal if you’re mindful about ingredients.

Overall, The Crew delivers a straightforward but memorable dining experience. It’s the kind of place where the focus stays on the food, the portions are satisfying, and the atmosphere lets you relax and enjoy your meal without any pressure. Whether you’re checking out new locations or browsing reviews for a reliable Korean restaurant in San Francisco, this spot quietly stands out.

What customers say?

“ Food was great! Came here with some friends and got kimchi fried rice, bulgogi, army stew, seafoood pancake and fries! Service was great would recommend :) ”

“ Came on a Tuesday night at 830pm and our large group of 7 was able to be seated with no delays. Shortly after though between 9-10pm, the restaurant was pretty crowded. Fortunately we beat the rush. The food comes out and is really yummy but for the larger entrees they actually do not seem that huge. For example the daeho kalbijim definitely way more worth it than this one. But still yummy! Service was good. Overall great late night Korean spot here in the sunset. Enjoy! ”

“ The best army stew available in the Bay Area!! Delicious and hearty. Kotsal and other beef dishes were great as well. Will definitely return! ”

- Audrey Lim -

“ Really good spot for bbq, Kim chi soup and Kim chi fried rice in Noriega. Parking is the usual with Noriega but worthy the effort. Meat is tender and flavorful and the egg mixed with kimchi friend rice is a must. The galbi, bimimbap, and potstickers are also really good. Service is good as well. ”

“ So damn good you’d start speaking Korean. Okay maybe not but it’s still really good. Came here and had the crazy ramen and bbq beef ribs - super delicious and highly recommended. I’ll be back and this time with the crew. ”

“ My review from 2018 is below, but I want to update since their grand re-opening! 2023: loved the crew before they closed to renovate, and I love it even more since the grand reopening! They re-vamped the menu and aesthetics, and it’s gone from casual local favorite to an elevated experience, while the prices are still just as affordable! They even have more gluten free and vegan options, but kept all the classics like bibimbap and Korean BBQd meats prepared in authentic Korean style. I will be going back regularly, it’s a 10/10! 2018 review: Best Korean BBQ in the city! Korean BBQ places are not always very inclusive for people that have food allergies, but gluten free and vegan options are easily found here, and the lovely staff is always happy to accommodate. These folks are famous in the city for their Kim Chi, as well, so it is not to be missed! ”

“ The Crew’s Mango habanero chicken wings were amazing. Great flavor and the perfect consistency of sauce that wasn’t too thick or runny. The honeycomb drink had a great presentation with the honeycomb cut fresh in front of us. The tornado potato stick was light textured and delicious! Good mozzarella cheese balls. ”

“ SF standard of pricey but delicious Korean food and drinks! Atmosphere was moderate noise level so it’s nice to talk with friends. Definitely recommend going with a big group for sharing! ”
